Hi, I'm having an issue with the game crashing on the waterfront. Most of my playthroughs have been fine, but when I got to the waterfront immediately at the start of the game and pick things up in a certain order, the game crashes, and will not reopen until I restart my computer. It's happened twice now. Otherwise, loving the game! Thanks :)
Thanks for getting back to me. I went through the convenience store and picked up the shotgun, went further through the passageways, used the lock mechanism and picked up the artifact, and then walked along the dock and exited through the door that's right by the car. Both times the game crashed just as I was walking through that door. However, yesterday I had another crash in the waterfront area in front of the nightclub, after having already visited a couple other areas in the game, so maybe the item order and specific doorway aren't the issue?
I think you were right about it being a memory issue! I have 8GB of RAM, but figured out there was a bunch of stuff running in the background. I just played for an hour without any crashes. Thanks for the help!
I have barely started playing and this is easily one of the creepiest experiences I've had. I made the mistake of watching a bunch of videos on PAGAN Autogeny before playing it, which kind of ruined it for me, but going into this game knowing nothing except what the manual told me, is... an experience. BTW, you can get stuck behind the TV in the very first room, forcing an alt+f4. But tbf I don't even know if this should be fixed, because if anything it just kind of adds to the weird, "creepy broken game" atmosphere.
before the enpaintening i'd like to say that, dear god, i hate this game so much. this game is a thrill to play and has many endings, all of which will absolutely wreck you if you think hard enough about them.
thank you, oleander, for showing me that sometimes it's better to just not win. i'm going to go listen to synthpop and cry now.

My first thought is a memory issue; how much RAM do you have? Unity is sometimes finicky with low-memory systems.
